Effective Saturday, January 9, STARS will open LIFT & EXPRESS Dial-a-Ride services on Weekends for all trips, including nonessential trips.

LIFT Dial-a-Ride Services are available for essential travel ONLY Monday through Friday from 5am until 9pm. Hours for weekend travel are Saturdays 5AM to 9PM and Sundays 9AM to 9PM.

Trips are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis and are free of charge .

STARS Mainline Bus Routes are still suspended until further notice.

What is an Essential Trip?

  • Trips for Groceries (One Trip per Week per Household)
  • Trips for Physical and Mental Health Needs (Appointments, Prescriptions)
  • Trips for Essential Jobs
    • Essential Jobs Include: Hospital/Medical, Grocery/Food (take-out), Essential Production, School, and Childcare

How do I schedule a ride?

Call 989-753-9526 Monday through Friday between 9AM and 3PM.

When should I call?

If you are scheduling a trip for any reason for the weekend, call anytime Monday through Friday, 9am to 3pm.

If you are scheduling an essential trip for Monday-Friday

  • General Public Riders must schedule 1 business day in advance
  • Silver Card Riders (Senior Citizens) can schedule up to 2 business days in advance
  • Gold Card Riders (Disabled) can schedule up to 2 weeks in advance

 

Essential Trips are NOT (examples):

  • Retail Shopping, Entertainment, Bars, Visiting Friends or Family, Salons/Barbers, Laundromats

Due to the Pandemic, all riders 3 years and older must wear a mask at all times and use provided hand sanitizer upon entry – no exceptions.
