Election Day is always FREE RIDE DAY at STARS. It is our commitment to offer free rides every election day to allow our neighbors access to the polls. We will provide free rides on fixed routes for all riders. All rides are free, whether it’s to the polls, work, or the store. But we hope our riders will vote. Free rides to the polls will be available for Gold Card holders and seniors 60 or over as well. 

Polls are open on Tuesday, February 27th from 7AM-8PM.

• On election day, all STARS fixed route services will be free. Please use this service and vote. On this day only, STARS Fixed Routes run until 9PM so that all voters have a ride home after the polls close.
• Second, voters aged 60 and over and gold card holders can ride STARS LIFT for free to their polling place. To schedule your free LIFT ride to vote, call STARS LIFT at (989)753-9526 Monday-Friday between 9AM and 3PM. Rides must be scheduled at least one business day in advance.
• Although free rides are only on election day, you can also vote early at the Saginaw County Early Vote Center at 618 Cass St. (Adjacent to the courthouse) from Saturday, February 17th to Sunday, February 25th.  For more information about early voting, click here.
