STARS considers public transit to be an essential service to the public, and with continued community cooperation, STARS can keep those services running for necessary trips such as healthcare and work. With several area transit agencies closing and scaling back their services, STARS has analyzed the situation and has no plans of limiting service further.
“We will continue to monitor and will make adjustments in the coming days, but have no plans to shut down service at this time,” says Glenn Steffens STARS Executive Director.
STARS has taken precautions and created policies to protect the safety of staff and riders. These policies are listed on their website: https://saginaw-stars.com/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/
